And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.” Revelation 21:4
A City without tears — God wipes away all tears up yander. This is a time of weeping, but by and by there will be a time when God shall call us where there will be no tears. A City without pain, a City without
sorrow, without sickness, without death.
Think of a place where temptation cannot come. Think of a place where we shall be free from sin
and where the righteous shall reign forever. Think of a City that is not built with hands, where the buildings
do not grow old with time; a City whose inhabitants are numbered by no census, except the Book of Life.
Where no hearses with their nodding plumes creep slowly with their sad burdens to
the cemetery; a City without griefs or graves, without sin or sorrow, without marriages or mournings, with-
out birth or burials: a City which glories in having Jesus for its King, angels for its guards and whose citizens are saints.
–Dwight L. Moody
A Life of Faith
Jesus answered him, saying, it is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of
God.” Luke 4:4
The words of God are spirit and life and so become food for the inner man.
“The words that I speak unto you they are spirit, and they are life.” John 6:63
“Thy word hath quickened me.” Psalm 1:19:50.
“Thy words were found, and I did eat them, and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart.
Jeremiah 15:16
The word of God is always sweet to the taste of faith. While we feed on the Word of God faith itself is fed,
for “faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17.
